About the Project
Pack a Hug started with a simple idea: what if a sleeping bag could feel like a hug? I’ve always loved sewing, and I realized I could use that passion to create something that truly matters: warmth and dignity for people without a safe place to sleep.
I hand-sewed the first sleeping bag myself, carefully designing it to be warm, portable, and durable. From that original design, I developed and oversaw the production of more bags, making sure each one met the same standard of care and compassion.
While the sleeping bags themselves aren't handmade, I personally hand-embroider a unique patch for each one. These patches are sewn on individually, offering a small but powerful reminder to the person receiving it: you’re not forgotten.
Pack a Hug is a youth-led, community-driven project rooted in action and empathy. It’s more than just providing warmth. It’s about making sure every person feels seen, safe, and human.
Because sometimes, the smallest things like a patch, a bag, or a hug can mean everything.
